Panalure plays an eclectic blend of original music that might most easily be categorized as “Americana” for its mix of folk, traditional country, pop-rock and world influences. The band recently reformed with an incredible new line-up:
Reggie Bordeaux on drums and Bob Jennings on keys and sax are veteran Milwaukee musicians who have played for years with Paul Cebar’s Tomorrow Sound. Jason Klagstad on guitar has played with Howie Epstein (Tom Petty), Jerry Harrison (Talking Heads), Arroyo, Semi-Twang and Bill Camplin. Slide guitarist Michael DeBoer has been a staple of the Milwaukee music scene for many years. Bassist Ken Hanson is a founder of Panalure and also plays with Milwaukee favorites Killer Joe and Longacre. The band is fronted by singer-songwriter Fred Ziegler and Kari Hoff on vocal harmonies.
“Panalure” – in case you were wondering.
Panchromatic black-and-white photographic printing papers are sensitive to all wavelengths of visible light. They were designed for the printing of full-tone black-and-white images from color negatives; this is not possible with conventional orthochromatic papers. Panchromatic papers can also be used to produce paper negatives in large-format cameras. These materials must be handled and developed in near-complete darkness. Kodak Panalure Select RC was an example of a panchromatic black-and-white paper; it was discontinued in 2005.
